Use this crude oil offer template to give a prospective buyer enough information to assess your cargo before requesting documents or discussing a contract. It works for a spot cargo, an allocation awaiting lifting confirmation or a proposed monthly supply programme.
Copy this table into your offer and fill in the details you can support. Mark any open commercial or operational conditions clearly.
| Field | What to provide |
|---|---|
| Contracting seller | Legal company name and business contact |
| Your role | Producer, cargo owner, trader or authorised representative. If you represent a principal, state who will sign the sale contract. |
| Crude grade and origin | Grade, stated origin and available assay or cargo quality information |
| Available volume | Quantity, unit and any permitted tolerance |
| Cargo status | In storage, scheduled to lift, already loaded or subject to allocation confirmation |
| Loading and delivery | Loading port or terminal, proposed window and delivery terms. Name the destination for a delivered quotation. |
| Price and validity | Currency, price unit, fixed price or benchmark formula, and when the quotation expires |
| Outstanding conditions | Confirmations still needed, such as allocation release, terminal acceptance or vessel nomination |
For a spot cargo, state the volume available and when it can load. For an allocation, explain who issued it, when it expires and which lifting conditions still apply. For a monthly programme, show the first available volume separately from the proposed monthly quantity and contract period.
If your available quantity depends on a later confirmation, say so beside the volume. That gives the buyer a clear basis for deciding whether the offer fits their schedule.
A price needs a currency, unit, delivery basis and validity period. If you quote against a benchmark, identify the assessment, pricing period and differential. If the buyer asks for a delivered quotation, confirm the destination port and receiving window before committing to a price.
